The historic precincts of Canterbury Cathedral were transformed into a vibrant gallery of youthful imagination on Thursday, 2 July 2026, as the Creative Art Examination Board (CAEB) by Warnborough College hosted its annual art exhibition and prize presentation ceremony.
Featuring over 300 stunning pieces of artwork created by young talents aged 5 to 18, the event brought together families, educators, and distinguished guests from around the world to celebrate the transformative power of creative education.
A Global Celebration of Achievement
Proud parents and family members filled the venue, cheering as young artists took to the stage to receive well-deserved accolades for their artistic accomplishments. For many families who traveled across continents —including a large contingent flying in directly to England— it was an unforgettable day of pride and celebration.
The ceremony was expertly hosted by Thibeau Dhaenens, CAEB Executive Council member, and presided over by Warnborough College President, Dr. Brenden Tempest-Mogg.
Adding international prestige to the occasion, Mr. Wan Mahfodz from the Malaysian Ministry of Education attended as the event’s special guest, underscoring the growing global bridge in art education between the UK and Southeast Asia.
Highlights of the Day
Beyond the inspiring student gallery, the audience was treated to a captivating live art performance that served as one of the day’s centrepiece moments.
Live Cathedral Painting: Jeff Lim, head of JeffMark Academy and My Art Studio Malaysia, performed a live painting session, creating a masterclass depiction of Canterbury Cathedral right before the audience’s eyes. Upon completion, he presented the magnificent artwork directly to Dr. Tempest-Mogg.
Expanding Educational Horizons: The ceremony also recognized the expanding network of creative education, officially presenting CAEB licensing certificates to various international learning centres dedicated to nurturing the next generation of artists.
